Dubrovnik

Now I know why everyone loves this place! Its so beautiful. Everywhere you look is orange clay roofs, white houses and the bluest water you have ever seen. The city is carved into the side of the hill and no matter where you are you have a fantastic view!

Down in the old town there are a crazy amount of souvenir and ice cream shops. The best part is, in all the alleyways between buildings are outdoor restaurants and cafés. The only problem is, the streets are made of marble and have been there for ages, so its so slippery! Its like those new mall floors where you have to tip toe so you don't slip.
In the old town there was a war photo gallery/museum that was really crazy. They had pictures of wars in Bosnia from 1992ish as well as photos from Sudan, and somewhere else that we can't remember. It was a really amazing collection and I would highly recommend going there! The photographs were amazing and the stories were absolutely crazy. The Sudan photos had the most gorgeous colors.
This is what we did except it was just us and the guide and there were
huge waves. I thought we were going to die...
One thing I wanted to do SO bad was ocean kayaking - so we signed up for the sunset tour. Unfortunately, it wasn't so warm that afternoon and a storm was coming in, so we were freezing and kayaking in very choppy, stormy waters. I don't regret it at all! Even though the amount of rainy and chilly adventures has caught up to me and I now have a bad cold and my arms are so sore. We can skip arm day at the gym for a while now too!

So that storm that was coming in... that's the night we took a ferry across to Italy. When we booked the ferry we were cheap and decided just to reserve a seat on the deck. What we didn't realize was that they literally meany a chair. Not a reclining padded seat or anything but a metal cafe chair... so after being completely exhausted from trying not to die kayaking and developing sicknesses we found some padded seats of sorts in the bar, made friends with the bartender and proceeded to do our best to sleep a bit. Thankfully the thunder and lightning stopped and there was only huge waves to rock us to sleep.
