I love Kitslitsa! Its completely different from any place I've ever been, and its been so great getting acquainted and re-acquainted with everyone there. This time we went down with J's two sons and they stayed at V & L's with me. Also a couple from Texas were there as well. We had such a great time. The chicks and goslings were just hatching, so we had fun playing with them.
Sunday there was an English meeting at the conv. grounds with all the visitors, so that was really nice. Sunday morning was the first and only time it rained during my time in Ukraine - and it was only lightly raining for 30 minutes or so! I was scared that it would pour rain and everything would turn to mud... but by afternoon the sun and dried everything up, and we even played volleyball in the evening!
Monday was special mtgs on the grounds, and there were about 80 there. It was one of my favorite days in Ukraine for sure. After the second mtg, lots of us piled onto this very old and uncomfortable bus to ride back to Izmail. There were more people than seats, so it was very squishy! We did get to know each other quite well though, on that terrible road back to Izmail. After saying goodbye to the ones who live in Izmail, we grabbed some supper at the cafe that Auntie Linda and I have patronized often and boarded our bus back to Odessa.
On the night train to Kiev I slept on the top bunk for the first time. Pretty decent, except its much more difficult to make your bed!
